Spaces is voice, video, and text communication service designed to help modern healthcare teams communicate and collaborate better, together.

Sanctus Audio partnered to develop the audio experience for Spaces as they look to build the world’s largest, interconnected healthcare network.

The Notification

We began with a singular sound to help define what the tone of Spaces should be: The Message Notification. Spaces wanted to sound simple, precise, harmonious, and have a little bit of character (like their mascot, Pip!)

It also had to fit into very professional settings, feel secure around medical information, and still get the users attention clearly. The sound we created feels natural, simple, friendly, unique and it matches the look and feel of the app.

Video Calling

After the success of the message notification, we focused our attention on the app’s video calling capabilities. We expanded the ideas and sound the notification to create 14 new sounds that all feel like the same family, but communicate their purpose clearly.
